
AJC Ads is the advertising division of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, part of Cox Enterprises. They connect brands with one of the Southeast's most influential audiences through digital display, podcasts, video, branded content, newsletters, and 60+ annual events. With sub-brands like DawgNation, Access Atlanta, and UATL reaching millions of engaged readers each month, AJC Ads offers advertisers an unmatched combination of reach, trust, and targeting across Atlanta and the Southeast.


Challenge: A Legacy in Transition
With the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's print edition ending in late 2025, AJC Ads needed more than a new website. They needed a platform that would prove to advertisers and agencies that the AJC's future is digital, modern, and worth investing in.
The existing site couldn't keep up. Six distinct advertising products, three major sub-brands, and audiences ranging from local Atlanta businesses to national media buyers were all competing for attention on a platform that didn't reflect the scale or sophistication of what AJC Ads actually offered.
The sales team needed something they were proud to put in front of clients. And they needed it fast.

Approach: Understanding the Full Picture
We started with deep discovery, working closely with AJC's marketing, creative, and sales teams to understand how each product, sub-brand, and audience segment fit together.
The critical insight wasn't about individual products. It was about the connections between them. An advertiser interested in DawgNation might also benefit from newsletter sponsorships. A brand exploring digital display should see how branded content and events amplify the same campaign. The site needed to reveal those relationships naturally, not bury them in separate pages.
We developed a content strategy and site architecture that organized everything by what advertisers actually want (reach, engagement, trust) rather than by internal product categories.

The new site leads with what matters to advertisers: audience quality, engagement data, and creative possibilities. Each product and sub-brand has its own dedicated page with the depth media buyers expect, while the overall navigation keeps the full portfolio visible and connected.
A looping hero video sets the tone immediately. Gated media kit downloads capture qualified leads. Salesforce integration routes every inquiry directly into the team's CRM. The Webflow platform gives AJC's internal team the ability to update content, add case studies, and manage assets without waiting on developers.
