Data for Democracy

We partnered with Data for Democracy, a global not-for-profit community, to give them a new home online.

Designed to welcome the world

As an international community, the Data for Democracy website needed to appeal to a global audience. We created a simple and clean website anyone can use, featuring welcoming imagery, universal iconography, and clear calls to action to join.

Fortified for total security

Data for Democracy’s work can be sensitive and polarizing, so site security is critical. We built it from top to bottom in Craft, a CMS that’s less vulnerable to hacking, to protect it from any external threats.

A place to pledge

The Data for Democracy team wanted to add a new feature: a custom form where members of the data community could pledge to use data ethically. Built from scratch, it has gone on to collect thousands of signatures from around the world.

Built for a team effort

With Data for Democracy team members scattered around the world, the website needed to be easy for anyone to update, anywhere. Running the site on the Craft CMS makes updates to site content fast and simple.
